Just like traditional central air conditioning systems used for residential and commercial spaces, VRF systems are air-cooled and refrigerant-based, using both outdoor condensing units and indoor fan coil units. However, the similarity stops there.

In addition, VRF systems are very quiet and energy efficient because the variable-speed compressor runs only at the capacity needed to meet actual demand conditions. With this technology, you’re no longer having to operate your system operating at 100% capacity when you only have a 1 degree temperature difference between set point and ambient temperature.
